Job Scope
As a Civil Engineer at Doveworth Limited, you will be involved in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects. This includes working on infrastructure such as roads, bridges, water supply systems, and urban development. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable solutions that meet client specifications while adhering to safety regulations and environmental considerations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct feasibility studies and site investigations to assess project viability.
Prepare detailed designs and technical specifications for civil engineering projects.
Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create accurate drawings.
Collaborate with architects, surveyors, and other engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies as necessary.
Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and health & safety regulations.
Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering design or construction management.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other engineering tools (e.g., Civil 3D).
Strong understanding of structural analysis, materials science, soil mechanics, hydraulics, and environmental engineering principles.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for problem-solving tasks.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
