Job Vacancy: Planning Engineer – Infrastructure (Chilled Water Pipeline)

Salary: AED 6,000 – AED 8,000
Job Summary
experienced Planning Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in infrastructure projects, particularly chilled water pipeline and district cooling networks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, progress reporting, and project controls to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
Prepare baseline schedules, recovery programs, and look-ahead plans.
Monitor project progress and identify potential delays.
Analyze critical path activities and recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate planning activities with project managers, site engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, KPI reports, and Earned Value Analysis (EVA).
Track engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
Review contractor and subcontractor schedules for compliance.
Support delay analysis, Extension of Time (EOT) claims, and mitigation planning.
Monitor manpower, equipment utilization, and productivity.
Ensure planning activities comply with contract requirements and project specifications.
Participate in project meetings and present schedule updates.
Coordinate with QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, and Commercial teams.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
5–8 years of experience in infrastructure construction projects.
Proven experience in chilled water transmission/distribution pipelines, district cooling networks, or utility infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and project controls.
Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Excel.
Good understanding of CPM Scheduling, resource loading, cost loading, and progress measurement.
Experience in EOT claims and delay analysis will be an added advantage.
Familiarity with international construction contracts and project management practices.
Excellent communication, analytical, coordination, and reporting skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience in district cooling and utility corridor projects.
Knowledge of HDD, micro-tunneling, excavation, backfilling, hydrotesting, flushing, and commissioning.
Experience with Power BI or similar project reporting tools.
