Dubai Airport Parking Fees 2026

Looking to plan a trip using Dubai International Airport and you are asking yourself how much it will cost you to get your car parked safe when you are away?

Most passengers worry about the sudden parking fees, finding the most convenient parking lot close to their departure block, or paying more than necessary in terms of the facilities they do not necessarily require.

Since the complete transition to the ticketless, cashless Salik system will commence January 22, 2026, DXB parking has become a hassle-free experience – your car is automatically registered and the charges are deducted (or paid using QR/app in case you insist) out of your Salik e-wallet – but to avoid any surprise, it is important to know the specific rates.

It is a guide using official data of the Dubai Airports that explains the newest rates in 2026 at each terminal, each zone, each payment way, and money-saving tips (all verified by Dubai Airports and the industry). You will know the prices of every terminal, short/long term, premium/valet to save costs without wasting any.

Overview of Dubai Airport Parking

The Dubai International Airport (DXB) is a very busy airport in the world and it has approximately 7,400 paid car parks in terminals 1-3. All terminals have Premium (Car Park A) and Economy (Car Park B) lots (Terminal 3 only has Premium All levels).

Premium zones are the most near the terminal (covered, with EV charging and designated PWD parking) whereas Economy zones are farther out with lower prices. Each terminal has special disabled people of Determination parking (2 hours are free).

Dubai World Central (DWC/Al Maktoum) is their own airport: it offers free parking up to 3 days, however, it is used only by the Metro or DWC flights.

Dubai Airport (DXB) Parking Zones and Types

DXB parking is divided into zones and services:

  • Premium Parking (e.g., Car Park A levels): 2-5 minute walk to the terminal, best in terms of speed and convenience.
  • Economy Parking (e.g., Car Park B areas): 7-12 minutes’ walk or shuttle, best when you are spending long and are on a tight budget.
  • Valet Parking: Door-to-door services (drop-off and pick-up) (available at Terminals 1 and 3 mostly).
  • Short-term: Suited to hours or one day.
  • Long-term: Multi-day parking will attract discounted day rates.

Terminals 1 and 2 have large Economy (Car Park B) where long-term parking is done and the Premium lots (Car Park A) are closer to the terminals. (Terminal 3 offers only premium parking close to the terminal). There are automated pay stations in all zones, where the credit/debit cards can be used or the Salik e-wallet can be used.

Short-Term vs Long-Term Parking at Dubai Airport

Deciding between a long-term and short-term parking option at the Dubai International Airport can help save a great deal of money on your total travelling expenses.

Premium parking lots are priced per minute/hour in the the first four hours, after which the daily limit of AED 125 applies. As an example, a five-hour parking in a Premium lot would cost AED 65 in the capped structure, and paying only based on the incremental hourly rates might be more than AED 110.

Contrary to this, Economy parking lots change their daily charge to a less expensive one say AED 70-AED 85 after four hours and become much cheaper in terms of long-term rent.

Premium parking should be considered to be the most viable solution in short-term visits that last a few minutes or a couple of hours. These lots are nearest to the terminals and offer covered areas, which is the reason why they are best suited to dropping off, picking up, or making short business trips.

The costs at Terminal 1 Premium start at AED 5 in five minutes up to AED 40 in two hours, with a reasonable short-term rate.

Economy parking however saves enormously on multi-day journeys. The Economy zones cost about 50-60 percent less per day than the Premium. As an example, 7 days at the Terminal 3 Premium parking will cost approximately AED 725 and the same time period in Terminal 2 Economy parking will cost around AED 370.

In the long term, the savings are even more noticeable. A five day stay in Premium parking will amount to AED 525 compared to the Terminal 2 Economy which will cost about AED 270; the difference will be about AED 255.

Economy parking in Car Park B is usually the wiser financial option though not necessarily the one closer to the terminal to the traveler who plans two days or above trip. Riding the park-and-ride features offered by Dubai Metro is another viable money-saving option.

Stations like Rashidiya are providing free long-term parking and the Red Line can bring you directly to the terminals of DXB without paying the airport parking fee at all.

To conclude, Premium parking is most appropriate in cases with short visits when the convenience matters, and Economy parking is the best choice to longer-term visits.

Valet & Premium Parking Services

Dubai Airport also provides various extra-convenient parking services that suit every traveler.

Premium self-parking is available at Car Park A for Terminals 1 and 2, and at the All-Levels Lot for Terminal 3. These premium areas are nearest to terminals, fully serviced, 24/7 monitored, and equipped with EV charging stations and a reserved place of PWD, the first two hours being included in the free package.

Valet parking is offered at Terminals 1 and 3: just drive to the special drop-off point and leave your keys in the hands of the staff who will also park your car. Valet fee is about AED 150 per hour up to three hours and AED 300 per day, which is the quickest curb to gate service.

There is disabled parking available near the entrance of all terminals and drivers who have an RTA “People of Determination” permit can park free of charge in the first two hours. Other facilities are covered “Meet and Assist lounges, covered walkways and free shuttle buses which will transport all the parking lots to the terminals.

How to Pay for Dubai Airport Parking?

How to Pay for Dubai Airport Parking

DXB parking payment has become highly automated:

  • Online booking: Book and pay your spot online through the official portal (Mawgif). This keeps your reservation (during popularity periods in particular) and allows you to make pre-payment on your credit card.
  • On-site pay stations: Scan your parking ticket QR code or enter your car number at terminus or the gate out of the lot. It accepts credit/debit cards. Cash is being phased out.
  • Salik e-wallet (2026): As of Jan 22, 2026 all parking charge is made cashless, ticketless and through Salik. With a Salik tag or e-wallet on your car, the charges are automatically charged on the way out – there is no need to stop to the machine or pay booth.
  • Other options: You have the other option of filling up a Salik balance beforehand, or card payment at any automated kiosk. Dubai Airports affirms that as of 2025, no payment is made in parking using cash.

Follow posted instructions, do not lose your payment proof (paper or digital) before you leave. You just drive out and the system bills your account with Salik integration.

Pro Tips to Save Money on Dubai Airport Parking

With the right planning and knowledge of the best practices travelers are able to make informed decisions that optimize cost, convenience, and accessibility to have a smoother and less expensive airport experience.

  • Choose Economy for Long Stays: When making a vacation or during a long business period, always park in Economy lots. The daily rate is considerably less (AED 50-85) compared to Premium. This will conserve hundreds on a weeklong trip.
  • Pre-book Online: To book online through the airport site or partners is a guarantee of availability. There are special rates on some of the programs (e.g. flydubai offers T2 long-term at AED50/day) when they are booked online.
  • Use Metro Park-and-Ride: Sometimes, it is cheaper to park in a free Metro parking spot (such as Rashidiya, 2,700+ spaces) and use the Dubai Metro to DXB than to park at the airport.
  • Disabled Permits: In case of eligibility, use an RTA PWD permit. It will allow 2 hours of free parking in any DXB parking lot. This includes fast drop-offs/pick-ups at no expense.
  • Off-Peak Travel: Preferably, make the return flights later in the evening. Dubai has free public parking after 10 PM, which means that it is possible to plan a visit to DXB during the off-peak hours (though airport lot charges remain until midnight).
  • Hotels & Shuttles: There are some hotels in the area which provide packages of park and fly with shuttle buses to save on long term parking. Check deals at local hotels in the airport.
  • Avoid Overstay Penalties: You should be careful of your departure time. Automatic daily charge and a small penalty is imposed on overstay (see FAQ).

Having a plan and selecting the appropriate lot is usually cheaper than making impulsive decisions when on a hectic journey.

Conclusion

Knowledge of Dubai airport parking charges in 2026 will enable you to make the right decision, avoid unnecessary expenses, and concentrate on the trip. You will have the opportunity to save money and time by selecting the best zone (economy vs premium) and cashless payments via Salik.

FAQs

What is the cheapest parking option at Dubai Airport?

The most affordable option is Economy Parking (Car Park B) at any terminal. For example, Terminal 2 Economy charges only AED 15 for the first hour and AED 70 per day. This beats Terminal 1’s AED 25/hour or AED 85/day. In general, Terminal 2’s economy lot is the lowest-cost choice for extended parking.

Is there free parking available?

DXB does not offer general free parking. Even short visits incur fees immediately. The only “free” policy is for People of Determination (disability permit holders) – they get the first 2 hours free in any lot. No regular drivers have free parking. (Note: some people use free city parking areas or Metro stations to avoid fees, but within DXB itself, all lots charge from the first minute.)

How much is 1 week of parking at DXB in 2026?

It depends on the zone.
In Premium parking (e.g. Terminal 3), 7 days costs about AED 725 (AED 125 for Day 1 + 6×AED 100). In Economy parking (Terminal 2), a 7-day stay is only ~AED 370 (AED 70 + 6×AED 50).
Thus, a week in Economy is roughly half the price of Premium. (Terminal 1 Economy would be ~AED 535 for 7 days.)

Is online booking cheaper?

Generally, DXB’s posted rates are the same online or on-site. Online booking (via the official portal or partners) mainly ensures availability and convenience. However, some promotions exist: for instance, flydubai advertises Terminal 2 long-term parking at AED 50/day when pre-booked (versus the standard AED 70).

Are there penalties for overstaying?

Yes. If you exceed your booked or paid parking period, the system charges an extra day’s rate. Additionally, Dubai Airports imposes a small late-exit fee (~AED 10–15) for any overstay beyond the ticketed time.
Always note your exit time and top up Salik balance to avoid surprises. A lost ticket incurs a much higher penalty (around AED 200–250), so keep your parking pass safe.
