Job Summary
We need a friendly and active Sales Associate for our supermarket's vegetable section. You will keep the vegetable displays clean, full, and fresh. You will also help customers find items and provide great service.
Key Responsibilities
• Stocking and Display: Unload daily deliveries, stock shelves, and build attractive, organized vegetable displays.
• Quality Control: Check produce for freshness. Remove bruised, damaged, or expired items immediately to cut down waste.
• Customer Service: Greet shoppers warmly, answer questions about produce, and help customers weigh or select items.
• Pricing and Signs: Make sure all vegetable bins have accurate price tags and promotional signs.
• Cleanliness: Sweep, wash, and sanitize display cases, scales, and the work area throughout the shift.
• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and let the manager know when it is time to reorder popular vegetables.
Requirements and Qualifications
• Experience: Previous retail, grocery, or food handling experience is preferred.
• Customer Skills: Friendly, polite, and happy to talk with shoppers.
• Physical Strength: Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy boxes as necessary.
• Education: High school diploma or working-age student equivalent.
