I bring over 10 years of extensive experience in the logistics, shipping, trading, and freight forwarding industries, with proven expertise across key operational and managerial functions. My background includes import/export documentation and operations, customs clearance, unit controlling, procurement, finance, transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and end-to-end supply chain optimization. I began my career as an Import Executive, managing end-to-end shipment processes with a strong focus on documentation accuracy, cost efficiency, and timely deliveries. Progressing through roles such as Senior Documentation Executive and Business Development Executive, I developed a strategic understanding of trade operations and built strong client and vendor partnerships. Currently, I serve as a Manager – Logistics at a leading freight forwarding company, where I lead a team responsible for daily logistics coordination, client servicing, customs compliance, and financial reporting. I’ve implemented several process improvements that reduced operational costs by up to 60% and significantly enhanced delivery timelines. Additionally, I played a key role in ERP integrations (WebCSM, Oracle, LMS, and TMS systems), improving workflow efficiency and data accuracy. My comprehensive knowledge spans international freight regulations, Incoterms, HS codes, shipping payment terms, multimodal transportation, port handling, and coordination with airlines, shipping lines, merchants, and customs brokers. I have successfully worked with stakeholders across Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Malaysia, India, and China. My service route experience includes the Middle East, East, West and Far East Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Red Sea (RS2).
