Job Title: Chief Accountant
Location: Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to oversee the company’s accounting and financial operations in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, cash flow management, and maintaining accurate accounting records in accordance with IFRS/GAAP and UAE regulations.
The successful candidate will also lead and mentor the accounting team and contribute to improving financial processes to support the company’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Coordinate budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis with relevant departments.
• Manage UAE VAT and Corporate Tax preparation and compliance.
• Develop and maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Coordinate with and act as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Monitor cash flow, bank balances, and bank reconciliations to ensure effective liquidity management.
• Ensure compliance with applicable UAE accounting and tax regulations.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor the accounting team.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and financial reporting.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP accounting principles and UAE tax regulations.
• Excellent understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• UAE experience is preferred.
